Premier M&A advises PCMS Engineering on its purchase of Vibrotech Reliability Services
Premier, the leading Testing, Inspection & Certification sector M&A specialist, is pleased to announce that it has advised PCMS Engineering, the leading condition-based monitoring business, on its purchase of Vibrotech Reliability Services.
Founded in 1997, Vibrotech Reliability Services provides a range of predictive maintenance services from its base in Stokesley, Middlesbrough. Primarily these services focus on condition monitoring, thermography, laser alignment, balancing, vibration analysis, commissioning, oil analysis and equipment hire and sales.
Vibrotech Reliability Services existing customer base will now benefit from access to a wider scope of resources, enhanced support and a broader range of maintenance solutions by being in the PCMS Engineering Group.
Andy Chater, Managing Director of PCMS Engineering, believes the acquisition reinforces the group’s ambition to become the UK’s leading provider of reliability and condition monitoring services.
Andy said: “Vibrotech’s heritage, reputation and geographical location makes them a valuable addition to the group and brings us one step closer to achieving our goal.
“It ensures both planned and short notice ad-hoc customer requests can be fulfilled across the entire group, which is a key requirement of our growing customers base and makes us a stand out maintenance and reliability service provider.”
Barry Graham, Vibrotech General Manager, says the acquisition will benefit all parties. “This is a perfect fit as the group is benefiting from gaining a team of qualified engineers with over 40 years of experience in predictive maintenance, while our existing customer base now has access to a complete reliability engineering portfolio including training, products and advanced maintenance solutions.
“The acquisition also adds value to our oil analysis customers as PCMS Engineering are one of only a few companies in the UK with its own independent oil laboratory.”
The PCMS Engineering group has a central location in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and engineers working throughout the UK and the globe.
Rupert Lewis, from Premier’s Manchester office commented, “It is a great pleasure supporting Andy and the PCMS team with their vision to become the UK’s leading provider of reliability and condition monitoring services. Andy and the PCMS team have built a very impressive business, transforming the condition-based monitoring sector and we look forward to supporting them with their future plans.”
